What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our organization is called TEDxUConn, where x=independently organized TED event.
We are TEDxUConn
At our TEDxUConn event, live speakers will share their ideas to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. The purpose of this organization is to organize and host annual TEDx events at the University of Connecticut which are open to the public and feature speakers within the UConn community and beyond. These events will provide the opportunity to network and develop ideas in the subjects of Technology, Education, and Design.
