Maylis Pabon

President

Hi, my name is Maylis Pabon. I am a senior at the University of Connecticut, majoring in Communication with a minor in Personal Brand Entrepreneurship.

This is my third year as a member of TEDxUConn, where I joined because of my passion for TED Talks and my interest in event planning. With previous experience in event management and production, I wanted to bring my skills, creativity, and new ideas to the TEDxUConn conference.

As President, my role is to oversee the club, make decisions across all aspects of TEDxUConn, and support our team throughout the year. As an event manager, I focus on organizing and supervising the conference from planning to execution. I have also had the opportunity to serve as an MC for our past two TEDxUConn conferences, which has given me a unique perspective on both the behind-the-scenes planning and the experience we create for our audience.
